Last Weekend

Since we have officially given up looking for a house, our weekends are so much more free. This past weekend we decided to take advantage of the fact that we live in a very agricultural area, so we drove to Medford and went Peach picking and then blackberry picking. We headed to a local farm for the peaches where we could pick all we wanted for 50 cents per pound. We ended up with 40lbs of peaches...that's a lot of peaches. :) We then spent the rest of the afternoon at the park in Jacksonville where we had a picnic and the kids played in the water fountains and on the playground. Afterward we headed to just a local side street (by the Harry&David distribution center in Medford) where we picked blackberries. We ended up with about 3 quarts of them, the kids ate most of the ones that they picked. Was a very good day.

Here is a shot of my completly thrashed shoes....an update on my running progress soon. I love these shoes that my mom got for Vann. I will be so sad when he grows out of them.

I certainly have my hands full with all these peaches.... but the first thing we made was some peach/blackberry smoothies.
