So first things first! Tes turned the BIG eight years old on the 4th of July. Gramps and Grammie joined us for her special day. I love you Tessiesue! I cant believe that you are eight already. :)
Tes got a new bike for her birthday and Vann got his very first big boy bike. It took him less then 1 day to go from never ridden a two wheeler... to zipping around.
Then we headed down to Southern California to drop the kids off at Marmie and Poppy's house...
Before Nathan and I headed out to Washington DC for some sight seeing and TSFL National convention!!
Arlington. Very sobering.... God Bless America.
Our Hotel.... it was on National Harbor overlooking the Potomac. So Nice.
Nathan and Eve. "Uncle... Uncle..."
All together... just missing a few people. :) Maybe next year.
Nathan's favorite was the Nazi propaganda exibit at the Holocaust Museum.
Sweet little Eve. My niece... so much fun being able to spend time with her. "Nie Nie? Something?"
We toured the Capital building and even sat in on a session of the Senate. No cameras allowed.
Bobble head Einstein... Wish I would have grabbed one.
My favorite part of the whole trip was the 3 hour Segway tour. By far the best thing we did there. If you are ever in D.C. Brave it... look like a nerd and take the Segways. SO MUCH FUN!
We took the 6pm-9pm tour which was amazing... because we got to see everything during the day and at night all lit up. Perfect.
The Lincoln Memorial... My favorite memorial. It was pretty busy.
Convention starts....
Me and the bean.
Sister in laws
The Wente Team
Family.
Last day... We had so much fun having it just be the two of us. It had been over 8 years since we had been anywhere alone, without our kids. :)
Back to SoCal we go...
