School is officially out for the summer. It is definitely bitter sweet. I like having the kids in school, it gives them a creative, mental and physical outlet on a daily basis. But I like having them here, and being able to go do fun stuff. :) Both Braydan and Tes had wonderful school experiences this year.
Braydan: Braydan went to Mariposa this year for Kindergarten. He was in the morning class with Mrs. Browning who has been teaching there for quite a while and knows my sisters and I from when we went there. He had a blast, he has learned so much. He is excelling in both math, reading, reading comprehension, and spelling. He made a lot of friends and one best friend named Jackson. Their favorite thing to do is play superheros out on the playground. They usually pick to be super smash brother guys. (video game) He says he will miss Mrs. Browning but he is excited for 1st grade because he gets 3 recesses.
Tes: Tes was in Mrs. Morales's 3 year old preschool. They met twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesdays was my day to volunteer so I would be able to be there with her. (It is a parent participation preschool.) Tes has grown so much since starting this program. She was so shy for most of the year. She has really opened up to Mrs. Morales and some of the other moms as well as some of the other kids. I am so proud of her. She can now write her name, recognize her shapes and colors and is starting to learn some of her letters. She says her favorite part of preschool is cutting and gluing art projects, and snack time!

Snack-time!! Every snack time the roll is taken, half the kids get to share something the other half are listeners (switches) you get to walk your special item around the tables and show everyone, which Tes never wanted to do until recently. Also if there is a birthday Mrs. Morales pulls out the pretend b-day cake . Since Tes's Birthday is in the summer she got to celebrate hers on the last day. Everyone sang to her and then she handed out the chocolate covered pretzels we had made. She really liked that part.

Graduation: Tes was really into this, she had no problem going up to the front and sitting with the girls in her class, shaking Mrs. Morales's hand when her name was called, all without me, pretty big deal for Tes. She graduated out of the 3yr old class and will now be in the 4yr old class on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
